The Lee 90453 Quick Change Drum Set provides a convenient way to maintain separate powder charge settings for frequently used loads. This set includes four precision-molded nylon drums, each with its own adjustable metering chamber. By keeping charge settings on dedicated drums, reloaders can change between loads without repeatedly resetting the brass drum on their compatible powder measure. The set includes two small drums suited for cartridges from .25 ACP through .223 Remington and two large drums designed for cartridges from .223 Remington through large belted magnums.
The large drums include adapter inserts that convert their metering chambers for reduced-capacity charges comparable to those used with the small drums. Each chamber is infinitely adjustable within its operating range, allowing precise powder measurement without tools. A graduated adjustment key is included with every drum. Each turn of the adjustment screw changes the chamber by approximately 0.1 cc, or about 1 grain of powder, while the key features 0.01 cc graduations for convenient adjustments of approximately one-tenth grain. These graduated controls make it easier to establish repeatable charge settings for a variety of reloading applications.
For quick reference, mark the selected charge and powder type on the flat surface of each drum.
