The SIG Sauer Electro-Optics ROMEO-M17 MIL-SPEC red dot sight is purpose-built for professional users of the SIG Sauer M17 and M18 military-issue pistols. Part number SORM1700 is designed specifically around these platforms and uses SIG Sauer’s proprietary SIG-LOC mounting interface. It fits only SIG Sauer M17 and M18 military-issue and commemorative pistols equipped with a single optics plate mounting screw. This dedicated design avoids the compromises associated with adapting general-purpose pistol optics to the M17/M18 platform.
The ROMEO-M17 features a 2 MOA red dot and 32 MOA circle reticle for rapid target acquisition and precise aiming at 1x magnification. Its 24mm objective lens is treated with D.A.R.C., LensArmor, and SpectraCoat technologies to support optical clarity, durability, and reliable performance in demanding conditions. The sight includes adjustable windage and elevation with 1.50 MOA adjustment increments, allowing users to fine-tune point of aim for their specific pistol and ammunition.
Designed, developed, tested, and fully assembled in the USA, this American-built optic is engineered to meet the expectations associated with the SIG Sauer name. The ROMEO-M17 uses a CR2032 battery and is IPX8 waterproof for dependable operation in wet environments. Its compact pistol-mounted configuration adds minimal bulk while providing a rugged aiming solution for duty, training, and defensive applications. The ROMEO-M17 will not fit pistols other than the compatible SIG Sauer M17/M18 models.
