Warne Maxima M996M 1-Piece Weaver-Style Steel Scope Base for Browning BAR

The Warne Maxima M996M 1-piece scope base provides a secure, streamlined mounting platform for Browning BAR, BAR II, and Mark II firearms. Constructed from durable steel with a matte black finish, this Weaver-style base delivers dependable performance for hunting, range use, and other shooting applications while maintaining a clean appearance on the receiver.
Designed for use with Warne Maxima quick-detach rings, the Maxima base allows the shooter to use the firearm’s open sights by looking over the top of the base without changing the normal shooting position. This practical design helps preserve sight flexibility while supporting a properly aligned scope setup. The base mounts to the receiver using 6-48 screws.
Each base incorporates a full-width recoil slot that gives the recoil control keys on compatible Warne rings maximum bearing surface. This helps improve recoil management and provides a solid connection between the optic mounting system and firearm. The M996M is supplied as a single base and does not include rings.
